Startographers are an alternative rock band from Austin, Texas featuring members of Magnet School, Honeyrude, Schatzi. With an array of influences including indie rock, dream pop, post-rock, post-punk, shoegaze, and brit-pop – they have a unique sound that’s driving & vibrant but also full of lush guitar textures and captivating vocal melodies. Their 1st single “Hollow” was released Oct 8th 2021via Shifting Sounds. The debut album is scheduled to be released in Fall 2022.

As is often the case with this label, it’s an exceedingly well-produced Americanized take on English ’90s brilliance. And what a niche, like a moody,, mauling musical meld of In it For the Money Supergrass, Ejector Seat Reservation Swervedriver, and especially Lost Souls Doves. True it’s a lone, lonesome looksee, but finishing touches are being applied to an LP; and given the label’s/these musicians repeatedly-tested reputation, bet on 10-11 more songs as breathlessly beautiful.”
